No One Here Meets a Stranger
First and foremost, Happy Independence Day! Happy 4th. I am thankful for you and your friendships and thankful for America and those who have participated in her Freedom.
The more chaos that shows up in the world the more determined I am to support and build our communities. To me, this year, 2020, is not “perfect vision” as many people state. To me “hindsight is 2020”; meaning blind spots I haven’t been able to see can now be seen clearly. I had a couple of glaring blind spots that needed immediate attention. Lack of interaction in the community and health and wellness. One provides mental health, the other provides physical health. So, today, I participated in a community July 4th workout event! I am walking away feeling mental clarity and physical energy. I could fill a book with the stories and pictures from todays’ workout. However, I want to publish this today, so I will share a few. This is our Independence Day Goal:
What? My goal is standing right in front of me! She not only exists but she shares her energy and passion. It spills over a little here. LOL
So – want to achieve a goal? Take action today. Even a small action will get you started. Even if you feel you don’t measure up to everyone else. Jump in! This is my team, I jumped in and we finished the course.
I started this Independence day with changing my thoughts and beliefs. And I began the next chapter of a story that I will repeat until I see results. And to my surprise, not only did I finish the 1 hour workout with the experts, but I also made friends. Many friends. No one here today met a stranger. This community is inclusive. Even for newbies like myself.
Pay attention to our thoughts +(plus) clear out our blind spots, so we can THINK, FEEL AND ACT differently. Wherever you are this Independence Day, I challenge you to remind your friends and family, your neighbors, and your community why you are proud to be an American, and why they should be proud, too. Remember today, how determined our patriots and forefathers were to bring personal freedom to the colonies and build a great nation.
That must be what Redemption Barbell is all about. Thank you Cyndi and Nick Ramon! Cheers to the 2nd half of 2020.
P.S. Did I mention I am blessed?
